Nagpur –05/03/12
The ink of visit report of special parliament committee visit to dying field of vidarbha and statement of it’s chairman Basudeo Acharji MP that cotton farmers suicides in vidarbha is national shame and reason of farmers’ suicide in vidarbha region wrong policies of Indian Govt. is responsible farmers mass genocide ,has not dried ,Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Textiles Anand Sharma has put last pin of already died cotton farmers coffin by putting cotton export ban today to protect handful cotton mills in order to create environment so that price of raw cotton and cotton bales are dropped which has happened after announcement today starting trading 205 lower @ Rs.3200/- per quintal which is below the MSP and the recent decision of ban on cotton export will lead to further cotton price crash in India more farmers suicides will be reported the reason for sudden change of Cotton exports from India is result of unholy cartel of finger counting textile tycoon and Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Textiles Anand Sharma which is responsible for present cotton rowers crisis in India ,farm activist group Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti VJAS alleged and urged Indian Prime Minister to life the unholy , unconstitutional, unjust and unwanted ban on cotton and to sack Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Textiles Anand Sharma to save more than 5 million dying cotton farmers of Maharashtra ,Kishore Tiwari of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti VJAS informed in press note today
"When main parties UPA The Congress-NCP has shamelessly hiked the cotton price from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,300 a quintal in four years overlooking sky rocketing production cost. As a result the farmers in the country have been forced to suffer a Rs 4000 crore loss. October to December 2011 The Maharashtra State Cooperative Cotton Growers Marketing Federation demanded Rs 6,000 per quintal while MPCC president Manikrao Thakre urged Congress president Sonia Gandhi to ensure Rs 5,000 MSP and social justice minister Shivajirao Moghe took two MLAs along with him to New Delhi and they urged the party president to lift ban on cotton export permanently and hike the MSP to Rs 5,000 per quintal. Tiwari urged these leaders to arrive at a consensus and insist for Rs 6,000 MSP but all efforts where futile as UPA Govt. failed to hike in MSP but now putting ban on export is height of injustice with dying distressed cotton farmers, this decision after the election is clear sign that massive fund given by cotton mafia to congress party for election funding and result is the cotton export order which is reproduced here ”
